MEMBER NEWS: STC INSISO business growth drives strategic team expansion

STC INSISO, a leading provider of risk control and assurance software and services, is pleased to announce the strategic appointment of five key team members in commercial and technology innovation specialisms.  This underlines the company’s commitment to global growth.

Three new recruits have been added to the commercial team with Euan Henderson joining as Business Development Manager, Brenda Harrison as Digital Marketing Specialist and Ashleigh Buchan as Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

Euan comes from a robust sales career, latterly spending nine years with a global provider of software solutions. Driven by his wealth of sales experience, Euan joins the team in a pivotal growth phase post investment from BGF. He said, “I’m really excited to join STC INSISO. I have a lot to learn about the products and services the company has to offer but I am confident that my experience will help drive the business forward.”

Brenda Harrison joins as Digital Marketing Specialist with over 15 years’ experience across a diverse range of sectors such as robotics, software, real estate, and media. In her role at STC INSISO, she will be responsible for the firm’s marketing strategy, optimising SEO, managing brand identity, and developing marketing materials for both online and print channels.

Brenda commented, “I’m genuinely excited to be part of the STC INSISO team. Embracing innovation and maximising creativity is at the top of my agenda to effectively communicate the value of our SaaS products and services. I’m grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Ashleigh Buchan, Sales and Marketing Coordinator, also holds over 15 years’ experience in the field of marketing and digital communications. Her career in marketing began with a passion for communication, which she honed through her academic pursuits and subsequently applied in various industries.

In addition to the expansion of the commercial team, two appointments have been made in technology innovation. Myles Neilson brings over six years of experience to STC INSISO as a Senior Data Scientist. He said, “I look forward to applying data science techniques across all STC INSISO products to help provide AI-driven analysis, generating actionable data insights for our clients.”

Andy Gheorghe joins the team as Technology Support Coordinator. Andy has a master’s degree in Information Technology and also brings with him a diverse range of expertise in banking, finance, software development and event management. Andy’s adaptability, inclusive approach, and analytical acumen places him in strong stead as a valuable addition to the team.

STC INSISO has gained a reputation for its innovative solutions, covering areas such as cultural transformation, safety enhancements, software development and process optimisation, benefiting a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, construction, marine, and utilities. Its progressive COMET software platform is set to expand further following BGF’s investment earlier this year.

CEO Mark Rushton, reflected on the organisation’s progress, “2023 has seen us invest significantly in our exciting product portfolio, creating new opportunities and projects in a range of target industries. Our team has doubled in size in the past two years and the addition of Brenda, Ashleigh, Euan, Myles and Andy shows that we are gearing up for rapid growth in 2024.  Each brings experience, ideas, and excitement to their respective roles, and we look forward to them playing a key part in helping us deliver on our ambitious business plan in 2024 and beyond.”

AREG is the original energy transition organisation, working on behalf of members to empower the energy supply chain and champion its expertise. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to find out more about membership.

AREG has played an important role in the growth of Scotland’s renewable energy sector, engaging the supply chain and developing the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre. However, we are only at the very beginning of the transition that AREG was established to both lead and support so there are still opportunities for companies to get into the constantly evolving renewables supply chain. We look forward to continuing our work together as renewables builds on its place as Scotland’s main source of power, and as we seek to deliver real change in the crucial areas of heat and transport.

Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce has worked closely with AREG since its formation. The recent progress in the developments of offshore wind projects by Equinor and Vattenfall are as a result of the work of the group over many years. The north-east is known as the oil and gas capital of Europe. At the Chamber, we believe the region must evolve its position to being recognised as the energy capital. Whilst hydrocarbons will continue to be essential in driving our economy for years to come, the generation of renewable resources will play an increasingly important role in providing cost-effective power, innovative development and economic growth.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’. All-Energy is now the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference in terms of number of attendees, space booked, and number of exhibiting companies. As AREG became firmly established, their presence and support for the event grew spectacularly over the years. We thank them most sincerely for their invaluable input.

Vattenfall has forged a strong working relationship with AREG through the development of the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre. AREG has worked tirelessly on behalf of the North East and it can take enormous credit for the growth of sustainable energy in the region and the path it has cleared for the region to capture further investment.

Aberdeen City and Shire is emerging as a key location for renewables by successfully transferring its world-class oil and gas expertise into the sector and AREG has done much to advance this through a broad range of initiatives. It has acted as a catalyst in driving further investment in the local economy by engaging with companies, Government, public bodies and existing projects and we have been pleased to support their efforts. Scottish Enterprise will continue to engage with AREG as we increase Scotland’s use of renewable energy.
