About this Event

Following this month’s Budget announcement of £27 million for the Aberdeen Energy Transition Zone and £5 million for the Global Underwater Hub, Aberdeen is becoming a pivotal area for energy transition developments.

As we move towards this transition, we need to ensure that there is a stream of new talent for the future net zero supply chain. In the North East, the highly developed skillsets from decades in the North Sea will be vital in creating new solutions for the renewables sector.

In our latest webinar, representatives from Skills Development Scotland, Maersk Training and OPITO will discuss transferrable skills, training opportunities and the new resources that are available as the energy mix diversifies.

Date: Wednesday 17th March

Time: 14.00 – 15.00 GMT

Speakers

Jenny MacDonald – Sector Development and Skills Planning Manager (Oil and Gas) – Skills Development Scotland

James Costello – Senior Sales Manager, UK Renewables – Maersk Training

Alex Spencer – Director – OPITO

Facilitator – Gordon McIntosh, AREG board member
