AREG News: An update on the AREG team

We are proud to confirm the appointment of Sarah Wells as AREG’s new Business Development Manager.

Formerly AREG’s Senior Administrator, Sarah will now provide further support to AREG’s members as we work to promote the North-east of Scotland as a world-leading destination for producing and using renewable energy. In her new role, she will support AREG’s continued growth, looking into new opportunities for companies across Scotland’s energy supply chain and helping to expand our membership base.

We can also confirm that Shona Teale has stood down from her role as AREG’s Operations Manager to explore new opportunities. While we are sad to see her go, we wish her all the best for the future.

We are now looking to recruit two new team members to strengthen the support we offer our rapidly growing membership community. The two new roles, which will be based at AREG’s Aberdeen Altens office, are:

  • Administration Assistant (part-time)
  • Business Relations Executive (full-time)

The enthusiasm and dedication of the early group that would become AREG was fundamental in us choosing to launch All-Energy in Aberdeen. The first tiny show was held in 2001, and AREG’s Chairman at the time, Jeremy Cresswell, played such an active role that I often describe him in terms such as All-Energy’s ‘midwife’. All-Energy is now the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference in terms of number of attendees, space booked, and number of exhibiting companies. As AREG became firmly established, their presence and support for the event grew spectacularly over the years. We thank them most sincerely for their invaluable input.
