Satrosphere Science Centre has been pioneering interactive discovery since 1989, making it the oldest science centre in Scotland and the second oldest in the UK. As an educational and community resource it is embedded within Aberdeen culture, history and community.
As an educational resource as well as a visitor attraction, Satrosphere educates and entertains its visitors both in-house and at public events around the north east of Scotland and beyond, bringing science to areas otherwise unable to experience this area of learning. Our education team offers a range of curriculum for excellence linked experiences for pupils of all ages and their teachers through CPD (continuing professional development) events.
Satrosphere Science Centre is a non-profit organisation that is ambitious and our dedicated education team aims to provide an important and valuable educational resource for the whole community where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can come and engage with science and be enthused and inspired. We deliver science learning experiences that encourage active involvement in learning with hands-on exhibits, investigative workshops and exciting shows and demonstrations within an environment that promotes curiosity and life-long learning. Satrosphere is HMIe inspected.
